MARCO SANTOS

"Marco Santos´s work takes us into the shadows of society, into the disguised reality presented to us by different media, manipulation, and distortion of our reality.

His Works, framed in a personal and unmistakable style, are the reflection of a distorted, Machiavellian, and dysfunctional society, transforming his Works into a megaphone to denounce what is not working well, and therefore becoming a tool for reflection and change.

His criticism is a clear and concise criticism of the corruption of society and of the stillness and immobility of the people against injustice and hardship."

Elena Ojea

"Marco Santos was born on May 30th, 1981, in Valença. Self-taught, critical and full of concerns, qualities that form an artist in continuous evolution, with an unmistakable and unique style.

The artistic identity of Marco Santos is defined by his work, which reflects the concerns of the artist, thus awakening the curiosity and the desire to express what captures the attention of your mind and that transmits through creativity ." (Elena Ojea)

My main goal is to express my views through art, with my work reflecting the circumstances surrounding me, awaiting the expectro of a heterogeneous, changing and critical society. I participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and Spain as well as small collaborations in other countries like Italy and USA.
